This
beautiful Yoroi, with its attractive swallowtail butterfly
headboard, is modeled after battle armor worn by the
Shogun during the increasingly turbulent times of the
1400-1500’s. The helmet is made out of four iron
plates and hand-curved to a shape of peach. The name
of MOMONARI means that peach helmet. This shape of helmet
was suitable to protect a samurai from firearm attacks.
The body armour was also designed for firearm protection.
The principle parts of this Yoroi are handcrafted out
of iron by our skilled artisans
in Japan.This historical armor set, suitable to display
or wear, consists of the Kabuto, Yoroi and Kogusoku
parts and accessories you see listed in the charts below.
Your armor will also come in a black lacquered wooden
storage box that doubles as a beautiful stand for you
to proudly display your Yoroi.

armor generally fits adults up to 6’ (185cm) tall,
with up to 41” (105cm) chests. If you need a larger
size, we would be happy to offer you our custom sizing
service to ensure a perfect fit. A slight fee (up to
30% of the listed price) may be charged, depending on
your measurements. It will take 1 to 2 additional weeks
to complete a custom sized suit of armor. |
