Out of the chaos of the Sengoku
Jidai, or Warring States Period of Japan (1478-1605
A.D.), one great warlord rose above all others. This
warrior was Tokugawa Ieyasu, who, following his victory
at Sekigahara, was given the title of Shogun by the
Emperor. He moved Japan’s seat of power to his
grand castle in the city of Edo (now known as Tokyo),
and through his strategic and military might, he unified
the nation, and ushered in the Edo Jidai, an era of
peace that would endure for over 250 years.
This
Yoroi is a faithful reproduction of Shogun Tokugawa
Ieyasu’s famous Kin Tamenuri Gusoku armor, which
has been kept in Edo Castle. All of the iron pieces
of this armor have been coated by genuine, beaten
gold. It is commonly worshipped as a good-luck talisman,
and is believed to bring success to your business,
and safety to your family. This set comes with all
parts and accessories listed in the charts below,
and is suitable to wear. It also comes in a beautiful,
black lacquered wooden storage box that doubles as
a stand for you to proudly display your Yoroi.

with up to 41” (105cm) chests. If you need a larger
size, we would be happy to offer you our custom sizing

your measurements. It will take 1 to 2 additional weeks
